Therapy For Jewish Patients

Sometimes you want therapy with someone with a shared cultural background to you. There is less explaining of familial dynamics and nuances and there can be greater comfort knowing someone had a similar experience to you growing up. During these times, it may feel safer to talk to another Jewish person. I understand that not all Jewish identity is the same. The amazing thing about our culture is that there is a large variety. All Jewish identities are welcome (some examples: reform, cultural and not religious, modern orthodox, converted Jewish person, or blended families). In the therapy space you will never be judged for how you identify, or not, with your culture and it can be at the forefront of our conversations, or not. The choice is yours. Any questions you may have, please book a consultation to learn more

In the room with Dr. Tahler

We will work together. I will bring my experience, encouragement, and support. At the same time, you bring your unique life experience and knowledge to the space. Both perspectives are equal and important to establishing the partnership of therapy.

With this in mind, I will listen to what is and is not working. I always welcome your feedback, if you are comfortable sharing it. My goal is to ensure a safe space for you. With your safety in mind, I think it is important to review my philosophy when it comes to queer and trans/gender non-binary care specifically. I consider all gender and orientation identities part of my family/community. I know there are unique experiences and concerns to the individual and that the Jewish identity is varied and beautiful. My goal is to welcome all of our shared faith without judgement.
