I am here to discover what works best for every relationship dynamic and provide the people in the room with supportive therapy, not strictly designed for the heterosexual two person couple. WORKING WITH ME
We will work together to identify treatment goals. I will bring my experience, different perspectives, encouragement, support, and accountability. At the same time, you bring your unique life experience and knowledge to the space. Both perspectives are equal and important to establishing the partnership of therapy. With this in mind, I will listen to what is and is not working. I always welcome your feedback, if you are comfortable sharing it. My goal is to ensure a safe space for you.
I completed my doctoral dissertation on non-monogamous couple’s because I felt a gap in my training, and the literature. I believe all relationships structures can benefit from therapy. I want to learn what works for the people involved, and not filter everyone’s experience through a specific lens.
Personally, I identify as a queer, Jewish, cisgender woman (she/her/hers pronouns). I share this information for your comfort if you wish to work with someone who inhabits these identities, but I work with everyone who needs support. Professionally, I welcome conversations of identity into the therapeutic space, as we do not exist in a vacuum and the greater systems we interact with have an effect on our mental and physical health. I approach therapy from a feminist and culturally humble perspective and tailor evidence-based practices to the individual in front of me.
